ABOUT ME!
Miranda Starke is currently studying at Columbia College Chicago in the undergraduate Acting BFA program. She has been studying and mastering techniques such as Meisner, Stanislavsky, and View Points. She has worked in an assortment of shows and projects ranging from devised work to classical and contemporary pieces.
Her most recent stage work includes Jane in "The Tomb of Kind Tot" and "Bones" a new work produced at Columbia College Chicago. She will be opening "Girlfriends" mothers day weekend before she begins the tour around the midwest. Her Film works include Marigold in "What Rhymes with Magdelena" that recently was shown at the Berlin film Festival, as well as Laurie in "Theta Kappa Drugga" and Eve in "Amongst the Stars."
In addition to her studies in acting itself, she has been developing her skills in Stage Combat. She is now certified by the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat as well as the The Society of American Fight Directors in unarmed combat, broadsword, Quarter Staff, Small Sword, Hollywood Single Sword, and rapier and dagger. She is now officially apart of the Teaching Artist Cohort at Mudlark Theatre. In addition to this she is a trained voiceover artist. She has done multiple projects with "The Merry Beggars" audio drama, and has been doing voiceover work for various films.
